Sponsoring is a great way to support and give back to your local WordPress community. It will help us to grow and reach more people creating a much better experience for the WordPress community in St.Albans.

Benefits

As sponsor you will get the following benefits:

  • You Name, Logo, Link and Description on the footer of the Meetup.com page, (only available for long term commitments of at least 3 months).
  • You Name, Logo, Link and Description on the footer of this website, (only available for long term commitments of at least 3 months).
  • You Name, Logo, Link and Description on the presentation slides of the event you sponsor.
  • You will have a Swag Table on the event shared with other sponsors of that event.
  • If you attend to the event, you will be have 5 minutes to talk about your company at the start of the event (before the community news).
  • You name and link on the post announcement of the event you sponsor. It will appear here on the events section, on the meetup.com page.
  • The post from meetup.com is sent by email to the subscribers list.
  • The post from this website will be shared on the social media channels: Twitter, Facebook group and UK slack channels. It normally get shared too by other meetup social media accounts.

Sponsorship Packages:

We do not accept any money directly to the group. Instead we will help you to arrange the payments of the things that we need to pay to improve our meetup events.

We have 4 sponsorship packages:  Hosting, Venue, Food and Drinks.

Hosting Package – Not Available

  • The sponsor must provide the hosting for this website.
  • We require a one year commitment for this package.

Venue Package

  • The sponsor will pay for the venue cost.
  • We require at least 6 months commitment for this package.
  • The cost of the venue is £50 per month at the moment. 
  • The payment need to be arranged directly with the venue.

Event Food Package

  • The sponsor will provide some food for the event.
  • We will use small plates for all to share.
  • The estimate is a max of £4 per attendee.
  • The exact cost will be calculated after each event.
  • The payment need to be arranged directly with the venue.

Event Drinks Package

  • The sponsor will provide 1 drink per attendee.
  • The drinks will be limited to wine, beers, soda drinks and juices.
  • We will use tickets to ensure that we only give one drink for each person.
  • The estimate is a max of £5 per attendee.
  • The exact cost will be calculated after each event.
  • The payment need to be arranged directly with the venue.

Some Stats

We are still growing, but here they are our stats today, 2nd of August 2018.

The group is 239 members at meetup.com and 72 members at the Facebook group.

We have between 15 and 25 people that attend each month, with a high record of 39 people during 2018.
